The Holy Easter Triduum and Virtual Stations of the Cross

Although most of my posts since the pandemic began have been secular in nature, I am a Religion teacher and we’re now beginning the holiest days of the Christian calendar.

I’d like to share here a set of videos from one my all-time favorite Catholic sites – Busted This extensive site is a ministry of the Paulist Fathers (one of my favorite religious orders, especially b/c it was founded in and for the United States) If you’re from the Columbus, Ohio area (where I live) you may know this religious order b/c they are involved in the Saint Thomas More Newman Center on The Ohio State University campus.

True to their multi-media mission, here’s a brief video describing the purpose of Busted Halo:

Here’s a great overview of the Holy Triduum posted by Busted Halo.

If you’d prefer a video with similar information about all of Holy Week:

If you like these videos, subscribe to the Busted Halo YouTube channel!

A tradition, especially on Good Friday is walking with Jesus the Christ through the Stations of the Cross.

Since we won’t be able to do this physically together this year, I’m sharing below a series of video/virtual stations created by Busted Halo. The entire playlist of these videos is found here:

In years past, I’ve gathered my students in our school chapel and projected these videos and used them as the focus of our shared prayer experience.

I am always deeply moved by the themes, images and especially the music accompanying this presentation of this traditional form of prayer.

I hope you find these vide enriching and engaging as you practice the journey of the Triduum, albeit from a distance this year.

May you have a blessing-filled (and healthy) Easter Triduum.
