It’s a special day on the calendar for the Paulist Fathers, so I share a beautiful prayer appearing on their Paulist Evangelical Ministries site.

Church Calendar O’the Day: The Epiphany of Our Lord (Jan. 6th)

Yes, I know that the Church this year liturgically celebrates Epiphany this coming Sunday. I’m sharing this feast with my students on Friday the 6th for a couple of reasons. First, there is not a major saint with a memorial on the 6th. And, Monday the 9th is the liturgical celebration of the Baptism of Jesus.

NOTE: I chose the dates and the location on the map, to reflect when and where this dogma was formally initiated.

All Saints Day – Litany of Saints Presentation with Music

November 1st is one of my favorite days of the Church calendar – in part because we get to sing the beautiful Litany of Saints during liturgy. A couple of years ago I was inspired to find images of each of the saints mentioned in the hymn. I share this with you as I hope you’ll share it with your students as I share it with mine.

Here’s the presentation:

And a link to the corresponding music.

So, play the music and run the presentation as you “click” from slide to slide in synch with the saints named in the song.  Blessings!

Saint O’the Day – St. Teresa of Kolkata (Sept. 6th)

Another shift from her actual feast day – Sept 5th – which was a school holiday.

So, we’re celebrating this brand new saint a day later, on our first day of the school week.
